Tearing down the modern conventions of sportswear, Chinese designer Victor Wong presents his SS20 collection "neuATLANTIS". Themed around the exploration of natural bodies of water and the unrestrained possibilities displayed by free movement and consequential changes of textures, interactions of lights, and overlays of colours.
Exploring the bold and excentric sides of sportswear the confident and aesthetic designer demands an imaginative and fluid signature eyewear silhouettes within his latest collection along with combining the unpredictable motions of water. Expanding on the idea of hard materials Wong transforms these into soft and vivid shapes foretelling his memorising fashion statement challenging the current eyewear tradition.
Describing the presentation as a futuristic 200 years-ahead collection "lands into sinking seas, a fantasy of a future Atlantis, just he way Plato wrote about Timaeus". Adaptations from underwater life Wong plays on the ideologies around human evolution, new species, and water-born lifeforms.
Sponsored by the world's leading swimwear brand Speedo and American tennis brand K-Swiss Wong's collection infused the popular sports trends into his forward-thinking futuristic and waterborne related collection.
