Uooyaa X Christian Lacroix

Uniting aesthetics associated with haute couture and premium streetwear, the UOOYAA X Christian Lacroix collaboration showcased a collection of unparalleled, distinctive pieces, offering a renewed take on the contemporary street style trends of China.

Injecting the capsule collection with influences drawn from Beijing and Shanghai trends, this season exhibited a fusion of Chinese streetwear with a twist of European style, a visual explored through the use of explosive colours and mixed textures.

Graphic slogans litter the collection alongside bold embellishments driving the innovative collection to an inimitable expression of design. Both brands notorious for their desire to break and push the boundaries of current fashion, draw upon playful silhouettes and fresh, energetic elements, juxtaposed against the iconic Lacroix prints, highlighting elements of both brands across the line and pushing the designs away from the limitations of conventional streetwear.

Commenting on the collection Founder and Creative Director of UOOYAA highlighted the use of unconventional design techniques “With this collaboration with Christian Lacroix we want to break the boundaries of high fashion and street culture. We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of UOOYAA x Christian Lacroix, with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion.”

Throughout the 12-piece collection a new take on traditional Chinese streetwear is introduced bringing a youthful energy to the designs, a prominent distinction against typical premium streetwear with an original, unseen and highly wearable aesthetic.

“We are an iconic couture house, renowned for pushing fashion’s boundaries – challenging the constraints of style to create collections that speak volumes. There has never been a better time to break these barriers.” - CEO of Christian Lacroix
