Joining the London Fashion Week celebrations of the Lone Design Club, artist Lily Rouse displayed her AW20 collection at their London Soho store on February 15th. Displaying tailored silk dresses and other timeless feminine garments, the presentation formed a unique and soft toned atmosphere.
Rouse used pale colourways like silky salmon, snow whites and rouged fuscous features within her collection."Our philosophy is to create timeless pieces, revealing the ultimate sophistication and to explore a more feminine approach to ready-to-wear - despite the season. Exclusively handmade in London, products are fabricated from the finest silk, tailored to flatter the female form."
Focusing solely on the female anatomy Rouse displays four varying designs, all based on the female stereotype. Smart suit trousers and a white blouse fitted for the contemporary working woman, a flush silk mini dress with a high collar for the party girl, a long silk dress for a dinner date alongside a blouse and silk skirt for the women in the middle.
Feathered white eyelashes were added to complete all four looks, styling the outfit in an innocent and elegant way, matching up with the tones and mellowness of Rouse's AW20 desgins.
